Terms of Service and Refund Policy

Effective October 18, 2026

These terms cover your use of the QueryPilot Chrome extension (“QueryPilot”, “we”, “us”) and the purchase of QueryPilot PRO. By installing or using QueryPilot you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the extension.

1. The service

QueryPilot runs entirely in your browser. It sends your requests to the AI provider you choose (Google Gemini, Anthropic or OpenAI) using your own API key, and shows you the SQL it gets back. It does not connect to your database and does not run queries. How we handle data is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Plans

“Lifetime” means the PRO license stays valid for as long as QueryPilot is offered. It is not a subscription and never renews or charges you again. Prices may change for future buyers; a change never affects a license you already bought.

3. Payments

Purchases are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record and reseller of QueryPilot PRO. Polar handles payment, invoices, applicable sales tax and VAT, and payment disputes, under the Polar terms. After purchase you receive a license key to activate PRO in the extension’s Settings.

4. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use QueryPilot. A PRO license key is for one person and may be used on that person’s own browsers and devices. You may not resell, share publicly or redistribute license keys, and you may not circumvent the license check or the free plan’s limits.

5. Your AI provider

You are responsible for your API keys and for any charges your AI provider bills you. Your use of Google, Anthropic or OpenAI is governed by their own terms. QueryPilot does not resell or mark up AI usage, and AI usage costs are not covered by refunds.

6. Generated SQL

SQL and index recommendations are produced by third-party AI models and can be incorrect, incomplete or destructive. You must review every statement before running it. You are solely responsible for what you run against your databases, including UPDATE, DELETE, DROP and CREATE INDEX statements, and for testing changes before using them in production.

7. Acceptable use

Don’t use QueryPilot to break the law, to access databases you aren’t authorized to use, or to violate your AI provider’s usage policies.

8. Refund policy

If QueryPilot PRO isn’t right for you, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. No reason is required.

Refunds don’t cover charges from your AI provider, since those are billed by the provider, not by us.

9. Changes to QueryPilot

We may update, change or discontinue features. Because QueryPilot depends on Chrome and third-party AI APIs, changes by those services may affect how it works.

10. Disclaimer

QueryPilot is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of generated SQL, or uninterrupted availability, to the extent permitted by law.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, including damage caused by running SQL generated or suggested by QueryPilot. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for QueryPilot.

12. Termination

You can stop using QueryPilot at any time by uninstalling it. We may revoke a license that is used in breach of these terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Argentine Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have in your country of residence.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date above, and continued use after an update means you accept it.
